Join us for an evening with football writing legend Julie Welch in conversation with Theo Delaney from the Spurs Show Podcast about her new book, Double Acts: A Modern History of Tottenham in 10 ½ Strike Partnerships.
Double Acts offers an insightful exploration of Tottenham Hotspur's dynamic history, seen through the lens of its most influential strike partnerships. Spanning eras from Bobby Smith and Jimmy Greaves to the contemporary duo of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, the book explores stories and perspectives from legendary players, managers, and dedicated fans.
Welch made history as Fleet Street's first female football reporter in 1973 and her numerous writing credits on Spurs include the feature film Those Glory, Glory Days.
The evening’s discussion will be recorded for a future episode of The Spurs Show podcast.
After the talk, attendees will have the opportunity to ask Julie questions about her new book and her experiences covering Tottenham Hotspur. Copies of Double Acts will be available for purchase, and Julie will be signing and dedicating books as requested.
